We made our way to Civitavecchia from Rome. We managed to survive the infamous Rome Termini train station and although we had a long walk to catch our train, we did so on time.

Civitavecchia is a port city on the Mediterranean Sea. It is the Cruise Ship terminal for Rome and we are here to catch our ship tomorrow. It is a lovely little town with all of the charm of Rome without the grit and the crowds.

Our main goal was to get the laundry done for the upcoming week. At the laundrette we met a wonderful couple from Grand Manan Island, New Brunswick. They are on the same cruise as us. They were impressed that we knew what Dulse was. 😏

After the chores were done we toured this lovely town, stopping for Aperitvo Hour of course. The waterfront is beautiful with Fort Michelangelo and a palm tree lined promenade.

We set off on our cruise tomorrow which will allow us to see more of Italy and eventually drop us off in Barcelona.
